water management
In many areas around the world there is a water shortage. In these regions there’s not enough water for irrigation and sometimes not enough water for everyday use like showering. In many developing countries the water supply situation is even worst leaving millions of people without access to clean running water.
You may have heard people saying that in the future water will be more valuable than oil or that the water crisis is the next energy crisis. In the future things will get worst if we don’t manage to change them, but unfortunately the world wide water challenge already exists today and is not a problem we will only need to address in the future.
Since the supply of clean water is essential to human life, we believe that finding the best ways to supply enough clean water to areas where such a supply doesn’t currently exist should be at the very top of our priority list. This is especially important because with proper world wide water management, it would be possible to supply everyone with a sufficient supply of clean water. The resources, knowledge and technology already exist so it would only be a matter of implementing the necessary resources in areas that need them in order to solve the water challenge.
Some areas with access to technology that have experienced more droughts in recent years have already been developing ways to cope with the problem. Australia for example has had a tremendous drought problem in the last decade that did not exist in the past. Because of that, Australia has become a world leader in water conservation and water management. Another good example of successful water management is Las Vegas. Although it is in the middle of one of the driest deserts in the world Las Vegas has managed to provide the necessary water supply to it’s millions of residents as wells as over 40 million tourist a year. Amazingly, despite of the very hot and dry climates, due to smart water management, Las Vegas successfully supplies it’s many green gardens, lawns and even golf courses with a sufficient supply of water. Currently, the leading country in water management and water conservation is Israel. Despite of an alarmingly diminishing yearly rain fall quantity and despite of the fact that there is a very small amount of clean water resources such as lakes and streams, Israel supplies it’s citizens with enough water supply to live and water the lawns. In addition, amazingly, despite of the water challenge, Israel is a world leader in agriculture and agricultural technology using smart irrigation to grow almost every type of fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants for it’s own residents as well as for exporting to other countries. Places like Australia, Las Vegas and Israel are proving that it is possible with the use of proper water management, technology and conservation techniques to successfully provide enough water to residential as well as commercial sectors.
Around the world there are some areas that do not face this challenge and actually are enjoying an abundance in rain fall and therefore enough water supply regardless of any efficient water management techniques. If places that are enjoying such conditions would manage their water supply and store it, it would allow such regions to supply water to other regions where a shortage exists.
Finding the best ways to conserve, irrigate, transport water and all other aspects of efficient water management is our goal. We would like to encourage the innovation of new water technologies and the collaboration between nations, private companies and individuals in order to solve the world wide water challenge.
Since this project has not been further developed into a business plan and a specific action plan, but is currently only a general statement of this idea, we would like to develop a more specific action plan. We would like to encourage any individuals and organizations to share their knowledge, resources and products so that others can benefit from these resources that will lead to better water management. We would also like this platform to encourage and promote cooperation between individuals, businesses and governments in areas that are facing water shortages to collaborate with others around the world that can provide the necessary solutions
Anyone and/ or any organization with any good water management resources, knowledge, solutions, products or anything that can make the use and management of water better.
We would also like to encourage anyone and/ or any organization facing a water challenge or located in a region where a water shortage exists to join this project and seek solutions form others in our community
We need to develop a plan. Not sure where would be the best place to begin.
Water management is a growing field with many experts. This is becoming essential in areas where water management and dealing with water shortage problems are crucial to survival.
Dormant project
Save water, get water to those that need it
